My name is Susie. I was born and bred in England and came to France many years ago.

I have enjoyed living here ever since. I started in Paris for a few years where I worked in the hotel industry, and then moved to Bordeaux to start my own business: a local restaurant where regulars enjoyed the home cooking.

I love cooking, meeting new people, talking and of course listening too !

 

I have decided to combine my love of cooking with my love of working with people and to create Susie's Company.

Over the years a  lot of people told me they want to learn English but not in a formal classroom

with lots of grammar; they want to be able to have a real English conversation.

I want to help fill the gap! Informal English conversation lessons in a friendly environment.

Eating and drinking together is such a relaxed way of learning English.

This is why Susie's Company was started.

​

My main activity  "around the table" is offering moments of English conversation while eating, drinking and  chatting in a cosy atmoshere.

My aim is to keep the groups small (3 to 6 people) to give you plenty of opportunities  to speak English and hear English spoken.

A simple coffee morning… a delicious English breakfast/brunch….a full afternoon tea….. lunch, dinner or  an aperitif “style tapas afterwork”. You could book your place with a few friends, members of your family or your children or simply book your own place & meet new people !

Another activity is to cook you homemade meals in your kitchen for you, your family or your

dinner parties. My cooking is simple & tasty… a real “home-cooking”. You can also order desserts

or savoury tarts to take away for example.

Another activity is to pass on a simple "home-cooked recipe" while cooking in English in  "let's cook". It could be at yours or at Susie's place.

​

Another possibility is "phone chatting" for people who have little time to spare.
